BHAVAN'S NEWSPRINT VIDYALAYA
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is a vision of Late. Dr. K. M. Munshi to provide a holistic education to today’s younger generation for tomorrow’s future. The school is an endeavour to blend the changing world with our rich traditional values.
Started by Public sector enterprise Hindustan Newsprint Limited (HNL), the school was taken over by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra in the year 2003. It has a well developed infrastructure. The school is recognised by CBSE.
Set amidst the lush green and serene surrounding of Hindustan Newsprint Limited, the school provides an excellent environment conducive to the overall development of a child. Bhavan’s Newsprint Vidyalaya is one of the seven schools of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra which saw its emergence on 16th May 2003. The school is situated in an extensive plot of 10 acres and has classes from I to XII with student strength of around 1500.
Upholding the values of our rich Indian culture and tradition, the school strives to mould the young minds into responsible, purposeful and constructive assets of progressive India. Also, immense importance is given in developing a student’s soft skill, character, leadership qualities and public speaking skill. The school provides a safe and secure environment for the students and the whole school community is aware of the methods of an approach to their safety and well being.
To state a few achievements, six of NCC Cadets represented the state in the Republic Day Parade during various years. One of our students is a winner of Online Challenge on Cyber Safety and Cyber Awareness Competition organized by NeGD, Dept. of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India at New Delhi. We are also a proud recipient of the National School Sanitation Award and CBSE Sports Promotion Award.
As the students are provided with a platform for excelling in academics and co-curricular activities, our staff also have access to a range of professional learning opportunities including online training, formal course, mentoring, supervision and access to the leadership teams.
