Reading Day
To foster love for reading and its numerous benefits, our school observed Reading Day, with Dr. Mathew Elanji, a retired Professor from the Department of Malayalam at Devamatha College, Kuravilangad, as the esteemed guest of honour.
A series of thought-provoking programs were showcased in the morning assembly, including recitation, book reviews, and a skit titled 'Vanishing Bookworms', aimed at highlighting the importance of reading in today's fast-paced world.Additionally, the Reading Week celebrations featured a range of inter-house competitions, including Dumb Charade, a quiz, and a Translation Competition.
As part of the Reading Week celebrations, a dedicated 'DEAR' (Dropping Everything And Reading) time was scheduled, where the entire school was given a 10-minute break after the 7th period for one week to devote reading.
A mass quiz on books and authors was conducted for classes I to XII during the morning assembly on the last day of the Reading Week.
